The majority of the businesses the Latin American Chamber of Commerce (LACC) serves are immigrants of Latino extraction. Our business owners fall under a demographic marked by a variety of health disparities. Without adequate healthy habits, a community falls asunder. Businesses are affected as the rising costs of healthcare coverage and lost productivity as a result of a variety of ailments related to the usage of tobacco products and secondhand smoke exposure. We are addressing these issues with our membership and know that the benefits to our member businesses that adopt tobacco free policies will be priceless.
